Why Juice?

Everyone needs to have a read a good juicing book every year. Just get one in the library or order one of your own. Everyone should have a Juicer as juicing will cleanse your tissues and rejuvenate your cells. It is especially helpful after a time of sickness or eating a lot of sweets and other unhealthy foods.

Superior Nutrition—One glass of freshly squeezed juice provides you with the equivalent benefits of a pound of fruit or vegetables.

Quick Energy Lift—The nutrients contained in a glass of juice are absorbed into your cells within minutes, requiring almost no digestion.

Diet Control—Low calorie, fresh vegetables and fruits enable you to eliminate sugar and fatty foods while maintaining vitamins and minerals and lowering calorie intake.

Resistance to Disease—Juicing tends to boost the immune system. We’re amazed how we are able to reduce the incidence of illness when we start each day with a vegetable juice. Many cancer patients are put on juice diets for several weeks. Refer to the book, "Cancer Battle Plan," by Ann and Dave Frahm, for more specific suggestions.

Tips for Preparing Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Juices

If possible, use organic fruits or vegetables. If using non-organic, use a vegetable spray and thoroughly clean.

Carrots, cabbage, apples and grapes have a high moisture content and therefore make a good juice "base."

Vegetables such as turnips, broccoli, parsley, onions and celery should be juiced in small amounts because of their strong flavor.

Fresh juice should be consumed right away in order to receive maximum health benefits from the live enzymes and nutrients.

Limit green juices to approximately ¼ of the juice because they are powerful drinks that can cause nausea and headaches if you are unaccustomed to them.

Dilute all your drinks with one half distilled or purified water. It is suggested that two glasses per day be consumed for health maintenance and four glasses per day to speed healing.
